How Does ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration Work?
Following the restoration plan created by Dr. Dubey and by using the technology of the ARTAS® system, hairs from the donor site are harvested. Then, the ARTAS® system uses advanced digital imaging to analyze each follicular unit using micron accuracy and measuring both the entrance and exit angle. This ensures that each graft is of high quality, which will secure transplant success. The digital mapping in the system provides precise control, far above any manual FUE (follicular unit extraction) techniques.
The harvested hairs are analyzed and sorted by Dr. Dubey and hair technicians. The ARTAS® Recipient Site Mapping technology creates a natural site distribution pattern for the transplanted area. What is the Recovery Time with the ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration System?
Unlike strip transplantation, there is no long, painful incision that needs to heal. For most patients the donor and graft area heal within a couple of days. Most patients can then return to work and their normal activities.
